Dear summer,

I loved you very much this year.
And I tried my best taking good pictures of you.

The birthday wishes I made in Tokyo last year seemed to have came true. I won't complain, because I know I am being given the best opportunities.

Wish me luck on this year of being older and wiser.

Summer, I will talk to you again soon?

from, Lisa

p.s, Would you say hi to Fall for me?
She looks great in red and yellow! :)

Ocean Park

this was a few weekends ago in the early august, my cousin and my friends all went to Ocean Park to feel the heat and visit the dolphins.

here is a few pictures i've got for you....

concert

here are some pictures i have edited so far
from a mini concert my friend brought me to about a week ago.

the pictures had turned out better than i thought they would be ... ;)
and the band was so great.

we originally had assigned seats,
but eva and wing {the rebels} decided to go close to the stage.
and we were about 4 people away from the main stage...

we could kind of touch the guitar if we really try to reach.... :P
{if the band member stood to one of the boxes near the crowd}

the pictures from my camera were not the clearest
and i wonder what it would like if they were taken from the dslrs...

this band is called mr./mister
they are not a really popular band yet here,
but i jumped all night, and their music made me happy.

i guess whenever i see someone holding a guitar,
or people playing in a band....
really makes me think of my dad,
or learn about what my dad is like when he was a hippie.
if you know what i mean....haha

family, i will be out of hk for a week or so....to malaysia!
i might come here & say hi if i get a chance!!
all the best to becky & travis {and the parents} with the wedding plannings...

a nice and quiet meal

the safe calm feeling of being at home

and be able to enjoy the sweet sweet mother nature...

i seriously couldn't ask for more....

We tried,

we tried to catch the "magic hour."

This place nearby my house seemed to famous around
the photographer society here. People like this wooden bridge
in this crazy crowded city. ;)

It is the same beach I went with eva a while ago,
it is about 20 minutes from my home. And
from the beach, we (4 of us) walked for about another 20 minutes
to get there. It could just take us ten minutes on a small
sidewalk (insides the trees). But because we didn't know
the way, we walked on rocks for a while. :P

It was an experience, it's just too bad that it was too cloudy,
and we could not see much of the sun set that we hope to see.

It was little bit disappointing, but seeing my friend's pictures
on his DSLR were not too bad. And with the help of photoshop, I am glad
I went and see it with my buddies.

And so we walked back to the beach with the sidewalk and
brought back some mosquitoes bites with us, too.....

:)

day 4

the weather forecast said there would be
a typhoon passing through, but ta-da!
it was a big blue sky with some cute clouds.

after been using this big camera for that day,
i realize a small ones like the 450d, 500d, or 60d, 90d
are pretty good. :) as in the weight...

if i can save enough for a good lens, then is all good.

as for now, this tiny canon is swell.
it fits in my pocket, and is fast and small enough
for me to put the camera close to the models without them
freaking out. ;P

we flew some kite that day.

and looked at the ocean for quite some hours.

it was a wonderful day.

i had a lot of fun, with lovely company.

he was exhausted by the time we went back on a boat.
some more nap time on the bus back to the city.
and after that, haha, he had an official dinner with my family.

day 3

started with a famous restaurant

we had a-noodles-day!

i wasn't sure about good restaurant anywhere,
plus mr. yeap just got his surgery, so there are certain things
he wasn't suppose to eat in the 'chinese thinking'.

like mango, soy sauce, things too oily could be bad for the wound.
so after having a bite of a mango dessert,
i told him to think like a foreigner.

haha

then before anything happened,
i pulled him down to couple subway stations for pictures.

he tried to use my camera....

but you know, i am too fast for my camera

hehe

i saw somebody uses the subway station background
and made a rainbow picture.
it's way neat.

i love this bowl of noodles -
it was hokkaido soup base noodles! yum!

i finished them all.

we also went to a kids arcade,
because i always have scared of the grown up hk arcades.

he told me at one point the first day and said,
"did you know if i walk too long, my face will turn white?"

not only him, myself also started going back home
earlier and earlier during his visit.....

:)
